25 | On 8/14/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Rita Tovar for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, and her adult son reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 5/3/24.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 5/10/24. Fire pull alarm is located in the home’s kitchen wall.
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two bathrooms home and children will have access to the living room (napping room), family room/dining room (day care room) and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof safety gates, door knob key locks and plastic door knob covers.
- There is a fireplace in the family room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the napping room; child size furniture, a diaper changing table, safe toys, and books for the children. There is a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. There is a parents board on the left wall of the home's entry way. Observed in family room, child size table and chairs, child size furniture, an easel art pad and other safe toys. There is a portable sink for the day care children. Children will nap in the living room on mats. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
