25 | On 9/26/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Maria Hinojosa Lopez for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant and three minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 7/11/24.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 7/10/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the hall way wall.
- This is a single story, four bedrooms and two bathrooms home and children will have access to the living room (day care room) and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof doorknob covers and child proof safety gates.
- There is a fireplace in the family room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the day care room, child size furniture, safe toys, educational poster, manipulatives, and books for the children. LPA also observed two play yards, a diaper changing table, and two high chairs. There is a parents board mounted onto the right wall of the home's entry way. Children will nap in the living room on cots. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the kitchen wall. There is a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
