25 | On 04/30/2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Christopher Burnias conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Elaine Hooks. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the foyer, kitchen, bathroom, living room, and dining room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of baby gates and doorknob spinners.
Licensee stated that there is no swimming pool or other major bodies of water on the premises. There is a large fish tank inside the living room that has a fitted lid. Licensee understands that children must be actively supervised when near the fish tank. Licensee stated that are no firearms or ammunition on the premises.
During inspection of foyer, LPA observed area to be cluttered and disorganized with tote bags, packages of toilet paper, shoes, and clothes in the area. During inspection of kitchen and dining area, LPA observed boxes and bins throughout accessible areas. During inspection of outdoor area, LPA observed bags of recyclables, bags of garden soil and potting mix in accessible areas. Citation has been issued. LPA advised Licensee to have all accessible areas of the day care cleaned and organized.
During inspection of Kitchen and Dining Room, LPA observed unlocked drawers to contain batteries, sewing kit with sewing needles, kitchen shears, glue, industrial adhesive, tools, screws, bolts, and hanging hooks. Citation has been issued. LPA advised Licensee to go through all accessible areas of the home and ensure that any items that are not for use by children are placed in an inaccessible area of the home.
