25 | On 12/10//2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Spanish-speaking Applicant, Martha Pimentel for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, her adult son, her adult daughter in law, her adult daughter, her adult son and five minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a studio with a bathroom home and children will have access to the living room (day care room), garage only during transporting, hallway bathroom and backyard bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof doorknob covers and child proof safety gates.
- There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the day care room, children size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. There is a flat screen television mounted onto the living room wall. There is a window air conditioned in the day care room. There is a parents board on the left wall of the home's entry way. Children will nap in day care room on cots. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the entry way wall. There is a functioning smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
