25 | On 3/12/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Crystal Chavez for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant and her --minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 1/24/2025.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/31/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way wall on the right.
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two bathrooms home. There is a back house with one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Children will have access to the living room, bedroom #1 (day care room), kitchen and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of door knob key locks and door security locks
- There is a fireplace in the living room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the day care room, child size furniture, safe toys, educational posters. books and a portable diaper changing table. There is a sectional sofa and a flat screen television mounted onto the living room wall. There is a high chair in the kitchen. LPA observed a parents board on the front wall of the home's entry way. LPA discussed with applicant that the parents board must be readily available to parents. Children will nap in bedroom #1 and in the living room on cots.
