25 | On July 14, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her husband, licensee’s assistant and five day care children. Licensee, her husband, her adult daughter and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed America Heart Association and expires on July 16, 2023. Licensee’s Assistant, Adriana Gonzalez completed the training through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on May 14, 2024. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on July 8, 2022.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on July 12, 2022. Fire alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the right hand side of the living room wall.
- LPA observed in the living room; children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. There is a parent’s board that is located on the living room wall.
- Licensee states firearms are stored in accordance with Title 22 Regulations and ammunition is stored separate in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Poisons are kept inside a key locked closet.
