25 | On December 19, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Spanish-speaking licensee and four day care children who were napping. Licensee, her husband, her adult son and her adult daughter reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on August 24, 2023. Licensee’s Assistant, Mario Avila who completed the training through American Red Cross and expires on October 13, 2023. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on September 28, 2022.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on December 9, 2022. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s family room wall on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed three high chairs, a diaper changing table and three play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are kept inside a locked storage shed that is located in the backyard.
