25 | On 3/4/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her husband and three day care children who were in the living room. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Heart Association and expires on 5/13/2025. Licensee’s Assistant, Jesus Zavala completed the training through American Heart Association and expires on 11/30/2026. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 2/3/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 2/10/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the kitchen wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed a play yard and two feeding booster chairs. There is a parent’s board that is located on the day-care room wall.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, or ammunition in the home. Poisons are kept inside the locked detached garage.
- Facility has a 2A10BC fire extinguisher located underneath the inaccessible cabinet located underneath kitchen sink. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
