25 | On 2/6/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Norma Lomeli and Jose Ruiz conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Virginia Reyes and seven day care children, four who were napping an three were awake. Licensee, her husband and four minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 8/5/2025. Licensee’s Assistant, Lucila Puga completed the training through American Red Cross and expires on 4/27/2024. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 1/15/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/15/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s downstairs hallway wall.
- LPAs observed in the day care room, children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPAs also observed three highchairs, a booster feeding chair, a portable diaper changing table, sleeping mats and three play yards. There is a parent’s board mounted onto the wall.
- Licensee states she does have firearms and ammunition in the home. Firearms and ammunition are stored separately in accordance with Title 22 Regulations.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted in the downstairs hallway wall.
