25 | On 2/9/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Eva Ramirez for a prelicensing/change of location inspection. Applicant, her husband, and one minor child reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 1/13/24.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/31/24. Applicant states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- This is a two story, four bedrooms, two bathrooms and half bathroom home and upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making upstairs area inaccessible. Care and supervision will be provided in living room #1, living room #2 (day care room), kitchen, downstairs bedroom (play room), and downstairs bathroom.
- There is an electrical fireplace in the living room #2 that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the day care room; children size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. LPA also observed two infant swings, a two high chairs, two booster feeding chairs and flat screen television on top of a television cabinet. Children will nap in the day care room on mats. Infants will nap in play yards. LPA observed in the play room; child size table and chairs, safe toys and a flat screen television. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
