On 6/10/25 at 11:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sydney Sims conducted an unannounced complaint inspection, and met with licensee Lori Furtado. It was alleged that there was a Lack of Supervision, specifically that children were left alone in a classroom for an extended period of time.

The Assistant Director was interviewed on 03/05/25 at 10:00am and denied the allegation, stating that children are never left without the supervision of a staff and that the Assistant Director is not aware of any instance where a lack of supervision occurred.

Five parents (P1 – P5) were interviewed on 6/4/25, and 6/5/25 and P1 confirmed the allegation stating that P1 has observed children left alone in the classroom during the morning time. P2 – P5 denied the allegation stating that P2 - P5 have not observed any children being left alone in the classroom and have no concerns about the supervision being provided.

Five staff (S1 – S5) were interviewed on 3/20/25 and 6/10/25 and denied the allegation stating that staff do not leave children unsupervised and provide constant supervision. S1 – S5 could not recall a time that children had ever been left unsupervised.

Three children (C1 – C3) were interviewed on 3/20/25 and C1 – C3 denied the allegation stating that children are never left alone at the facility and that a staff is always present with the children while in care.

During today’s inspection, the facility was toured and LPA Sims observed 26 children in care.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Lori Furtado. Appeal rights were provided.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
