32 | The RP stated that they did not feel it was safe for children to be in a classroom when there is damage to the ceiling panels. RP further stated that the area of the classroom with the missing panel was sectioned off and made inaccessible to ensure the safety of children in care. RP further stated that the ceiling was repaired by 12/12/2024 but was still concerned about possible unknown damage to the structure.
According to the Director, on Sunday 12/8/2024, during non-business hours, she received a call from the cleaning crew informing her that there was a water leak in the Croc Room ceiling. The leak was repaired that same Sunday, 12/8/2024. Director stated that on Monday and Tuesday, the children were utilizing the other classrooms available to them. On Wednesday, 12/11/2024, children resumed utilizing the Croc classroom; however, the side of the classroom that was still missing the ceiling panels was sectioned off with a board and made inaccessible to children in care. Damaged panels were replaced on Thursday, 12/12/2024 and children were then allowed to access the entire classroom.
LPA observed all panels in the Croc classroom to be in good repair and did not observe any water leaks present during todays inspection.
