| Allegation: Lack of supervision; child bit another child
Per interview with the Director, no biting incidents have occurred. The Director stated they do not have a written biting policy. If a biting incident occurs, the facility applies an ice pack and notifies both parents. The Director also stated they do not have a written supervision policy, but reported staff are always with the children.
Per interview with staff, the center has a biting policy that includes explaining to children not to bite, separating children for 1–2 minutes, cleaning the affected area, applying ointment, and providing parents with a written note.
Per interviews with parents, responses were inconsistent with the above-mentioned allegation.
Per interviews with children, the children stated they enjoy coming to school and have not experienced any biting incidents.
Allegation: Staff did not report incidents to authorized representative
Per interview with the Director, if an incident occurs, parents are either called or provided an ouch report.
Per interview with staff, parents are notified of incidents at pick-up or via phone call.
Per interviews with parents, responses were inconsistent regarding the above-mentioned allegation.
Children were not interviewed for this allegation as it is not pertinent to children in care.
LPA asked for copies of recent ouch reports/written reports given to parents. Per the Director, the facility does not keep copies, the reports are given directly to parents.
