32 | LPA was then guided to the bathroom in the hallway that is accessible to children in care. The bathroom was inspected and was observed to be clean and orderly. Licensee then guided LPA to the playroom and LPA observed multiple age appropriate toys for children in care. Napping equipment was observed in the forms of play yards and cots for children in care. Per licensee bedding is washed weekly at the facility. The back yard was then inspected and observed multiple aged appropriate outdoor toys children in care. All areas were observed to be clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
There are first aid supplies available. Per licensee, the facility provides all meals for children in care. Infants who require formula, the formula is provided by the parents and stored accordingly. LPA reminded licensee, food brought from home must be labeled with the child’s name, stored properly and or refrigerated.
If a child becomes ill, the child is isolated in the living room while the child is picked up. A play yard/cot is available if needed.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
LPA observed a functioning smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the hallway near the bathroom in the home. LPA observed a 2A-10BC fire extinguisher. The valve on the fire extinguisher was pointing to the fully charged green section. Per licensee, the fire extinguisher was purchased in August 2025 but did not have the receipt. LPA explained to licensee that the receipts must be kept proving date of purchase. There is a working telephone on site. Per Title 22 Emergency Disaster Drill must be conducted and documented at least every 6 months. Per licensee, the last emergency disaster drill was conducted and documented on 4/09/2026.
Per the licensee, there are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. LPA did observe a small day in home during inspection. LPA reminded licensee, its best practice to provide 100% supervision when the dog is around the daycare children. Licensee obtains current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification that expires 8/03/2026.
LPA conducted a children file review and deemed it not complete. 2 out of 3 children did not have a 15-minute safe sleep log for LPA to review. Per licensee, they always observe the infants while they are napping and misplaced their sleep log.
