25 | On 2/13/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPA were met by Licensee JAYAKODY, MANGALA, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8a-5p.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 4 day care children and 2 adults. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected The licensee's home is a single story 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with living room, dining room, family/play room, kitchen, and detached garage. The primary areas, children are cared for, is located in the play room area and the back yard area. Licensee will utilize the 3 bedrooms only when children are napping. Living room, kitchen, dining room are accessible only when children are walking to the play room, to the back yard, and upon pick up/drop off. Detached garage is inaccessible and off limits to children in care. Licensee reports she has no firearms or weapons in the home. Home has a fireplace which is screened and inaccessible to children in care. There is a jacuzzi in the backyard next to children’s play area. LPA observed 4 locks to the jacuzzi, a hard cover and a fence that is preventing accessibility to the jacuzzi. Licensee has placed a pad lock to the fence to prevent accessibility to that area where the jacuzzi is at. Licensee advised LPA that no children will have access to the jacuzzi as it is off limits at all times. The backyard is completely fenced.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid Kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. There are age appropriate toys.
Licensee will purchase mattresses for pack and plays or mats/cots to accommodate 5 children/infants. Once purchased, licensee will provide picture to LPA via email.
