32 | According to the allegation, a teacher, Staff #5 was observed yelling at a child in care. During interviews, five of nine children interviewed stated they have heard a teacher yelling at a child in care. Child #3 and child #5 stated, teachers yell at children when “the kids are not listening”. Child #7 stated teachers yell, “Go to sleep” at children in care. When asked which teachers yell at children, Child #3 and Child #5 replied with the name of Staff #5. Child #7 stated it makes them "sad" when the teacher yells and "they do it loud".
Based on interviews conducted by LPA Babcock, the preponderance of evidence
standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be
SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, Division 12 & chapter 1), are
being cited on the attached LIC 9099D.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of
$100.
