32 | conditions. Per Program Manager, at this time the isolation area is in the MV# 2 classroom and child stays with Family Service Worker until picked up by parent. Parents are contacted immediately when children are determined to be ill and staff are ensuring that children with obvious symptoms of illness are not being accepted.
The facility provides breakfast, lunch and pm snack. Menus were reviewed to ensure that they are being posted at least one week in advance and visible to an authorized representative. Meals are dropped off daily by the cafeteria in the school. Meals are stored in the refrigerator located in the kitchen dividing both classrooms. All food preparation, and storage areas are clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. All food is protected from contamination, and LPA inspected that any contaminated food is discarded immediately.
Per Program Manager, there is drinking water available in the classroom via a water station. A water jug which is filled from the water station and plastic cups are available for children to drink freely at any time. Staff take water jug and cups outside during outdoor play.
LPA observed individual storage for children and appropriate sleeping arrangements in the form of cots. Per Program Manager the facility washes bedding weekly.
All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers on and are in good repair. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are stored in an area inaccessible to children.
LPA observed there are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the facility. The carbon monoxide detector was tested during the visit and found to be operable on this day. The last Disaster and Fire Drill was conducted on 9/17/26.
Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard.
