25 | On 01/28/2025, at 10:15AM Regional Manager (RM) Claudia Guangorena, Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Rita Ramos, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Lilia Hernandez and Amelia Morales, met with Alessandra Pinheiro, Lead Director, Tashon McKeithan, Executive Director, Georgia Lazo, Associate Dean for Community Partnership Schools, and Paula Kim, Principal Campus Counsel.
The purpose of the informal meeting was to discuss recent substantiated complaints and changes implemented at the facility, which included staff changes and staff training's.
On 10/22/2024, the Department delivered substantiated findings for two complaints received. The complaints received on 01/25/2024 and 06/24/2024, pertaining to, two allegations of personal rights.
During the meeting, Alessandra Pinheiro, Lead Director and Tashon McKeithan, Executive Director, both discussed and provided a comprehensive list of strategies implemented at the facility. Lead Director disclosed changes to the process of on boarding new staff, classroom observation by Lead Director that includes modeling, observation, and feedback to staff. Per Lead Director, staff has been provided training's and workshops on culture of care which includes personal rights, as well as celebrating the bridge between the community and the facility. Lead Director acknowledged that they will continue to provide training's and workshops to staff to ensure that the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care are being met.
A copy of this report will be provided to every parent with a child enrolled, posted for 30 days and an Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224) must be completed by the parents and placed in children's file. This report will be provided to all parents enrolling their children in to your licensed family child care home for a period of one year.
An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to Alessandra Pinheiro, Lead Director on 01/28/2025. |
