25 | On 12/05/24, at 9:00AM. Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), T. Tran and J. Culbert conducted an unannounced annual required visit at Los ALtons United Methodist Preschool. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Center Director, Wendy Flint. LPAs announced the purpose of today’s visit. About 12:10PM, we toured the facility inside and outside. LPAs observed proper care and supervision. All center staff that were present during today’s inspection had fingerprint cleared and associated to the designated license number.
This is a Preschool program located on the Church's premises. Facility was licensed for five classrooms and currently utilizing four classrooms due to low enrollment. Facility hours of operation are 7:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday. There is no extended care offered. LPAs observed all posting requirements for operation on the posting board LIC 203A-License, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, LIC 613A- Personal Rights, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, Menus, Activity Schedule, and completion testing and remediated lead exceedances. Children records was reviewed and completed. About 10:30 AM, staff records was reviewed. LPAs observed current CPR and First Aid Certification for all center staff. All facility staff does not have current mandated reporter online training and staff 1, 2,3, & 4 does not have the required immunization for measles, pertussis, and influenza.
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. Children napping equipment, individual storage for children's belongings, facility's bathrooms, and isolation area located at the staff's office met the requirement regulation. Children brought their own water bottle and the facility have filtered water available as needed. First Aid supplies were inventoried. A review of medication policy, including administering, labeling, storage, and records was made. Documentation of current Fire & Earthquake drill was observed.
