Licensing Program Analyst (LPA’s) Keneisha Dunlap and Franchesca White arrived at the above facility for the purpose of an unannounced Lead Exceedance Case Management visit. LPA Dunlap announced the purpose of the visit and was granted entry into the facility by Licensee Carol Sanders. There are 11 children enrolled, and 7 preschoolers present at the time of inspection. All adults in the facility have current criminal background clearance. Per Licensee, the hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
LPA discuss with Licensee Carol Sanders the water lead test results sampled on 7/31/2024, results show that a water source in the facility had Action Level Exceedance (ALE) of lead. The Backyard Playground Water Fountain has a lead result of 45.3 parts per billion (ppb).
A result with values of 45.3 parts per billion (ppb) or greater shall be deemed an Action Level Exceedance in accordance with the Lead Testing Written Directives section 101700.3 subsection (b)(1).
A copy of PIN 21-21.1CCP and PIN 20-21-CCP was provided to Licensee Carol Sanders.
Licensee Carol Sanders provided LPA Dunlap with LIC 9275 and LIC 9276.
Licensee Carol Sanders states that children will not be using Backyard Playground Water Fountain. As of 8/14/24 a plumber came out to shut off water flow on Backyard Playground Water Fountain .
LPA Dunlap provided Licensee Carol Sanders with copy of Lead testing uploaded to Lead website.
At 1:20pm The Licensee stated that the Backyard Playground Water Fountain has not been used since July 2024, and water from cleared sink in kitchen will be used to fill children water bottles. The Licensee also states that the Backyard Playground Water Fountain will be retested on August 29, 2024.
