25 | On 5/12/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ranita Richmond conducted an unannounced 3yr Required Inspection for the above-named Child Care Center. Center is licensed for 56 preschool children, ages 2 years to 5 years of age. LPA met with Director Ilona Gergi. LPA Richmond toured the facility indoors and outdoors and observed 29 children in care, being supervised and cared for appropriately by 5 fingerprint cleared staff members. Facility hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm.
The CCC is currently utilizing Room 1 and 2 only. An application for capacity change has been submitted and a fire inspection has been completed. The Department is awaiting the results of the fire inspection. Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained.
There are no swimming pools, ponds, or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
LPA Richmond observed fully charged 2A:10B:C fire extinguishers in the classrooms. LPA Richmond observed working carbon monoxide detectors. Fire alarms are wired to the Pull Fire Alarm system. Fire alarms and fire extinguishers last inspected in July 2025. CCC conducted emergency drill on 4/23/26.
All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. LPA inspected the classrooms and observed age-appropriate toys, books and furnishings. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards.
LPA Richmond reviewed 12 children’s files and observed files to be in compliance including current contact information for authorized representatives and/or relatives who can assume responsibility for the child, immunization records, and authorization for medical treatment.
