13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeanette Estrada conducted an unannounced visit to deliver findings for the allegations above. LPA met with Director Cynthia Sanders and informed her of the reason for the visit. LPA observed a total of 60 children supervised by 9 staff.
During the investigation LPA interviewed children, staff and parents. Per the report submitted to the Department, Child 1 was observed to be hit and threatened by Staff 1 since Child 1 was not sitting in their chair during an activity. There were no eye-witnesses identified to the incident. Staff 1 denied the allegations. LPA's interviews with staff, children and parents did not reveal any corroborations. Due to conflicting statements from the reporting party and interviews conducted, the complaint is unsubstantiated. Based on interviews, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and a copy of the report were provided to Director Cynthia Sanders. |
