Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Crystal Green conducted an unannounced case management inspection on 10/17/2022. LPA met with Director, Lauren Friedman, who provided a tour of the facility. There were 72 children and 18 staff present during the inspection.

The purpose of today's inspection is to go over the water lead test results received on 02/10/2023. Results indicate that 3 water sources had action level exceedance of lead. The sink (sample A) located in the Unicorn classroom had a lead result of 6.6. The sink (sample C) located in the Ladybugs classroom had a lead result of 15.00. The sink (sample F) faucet located in Butterflies classroom had a lead result of 6.2. LPA observed that all 3 sink faucets were made inaccessible through signage and tape to make them inaccessible to children in care.

LPA spoke with the Director who stated that the children bring their own lunch and water from home in their personal drinking container and children also have the option to refill from the water cooler available through premises. If children forget to bring water from home, they are provided with a paper cup. Facility has water delivered. Per Director, the facility has never used the water faucets on the premises to prepare food or use as a drinking source. Children are not allowed to drink from the sink faucets. Director states that they do not intent to use the faucet for drinking or food preparation in the future.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Lauren Friedman. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
