32 | Heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated by LPA’s. LPA’s observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling. LPA observed the thermostats located in the classrooms and temperatures to be between 70-71 degrees. LPA’s observed the fire extinguishers in the classroom and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguishers indicating fully charged and serviced on 3/2025. Smoke detectors were not tested during this visit due to the detectors being hard wired to the emergency pull down fire alarm system. Per director the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are both operable. The last emergency drill was conducted on 3/28/25. First aid kit supplies are kept inside the classroom and LPA’s observed the kit to be fully equipped. During this visit Licensee stated that they currently have no children with medication or severe food allergies. LPA’s asked if there were any poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water and licensee stated they had none of the above mentioned and LPA’s did not observe any. Licensee stated the ill isolation area takes place in the director’s office.
Licensing staff entered the outdoor play area and observed the playground yards to be fully fenced. the outdoor play equipment was observed to be free of sharp, lose or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition as is free of hazards. Areas around and/or under climbing equipment have a cushioning material to absorb a fall. Drinking water is readily available outdoors. There is adequate shade in the play yard.
The facility provides breakfast, lunch and snack and utilizes CACFP. LPA’s informed licensee that any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents.

Sign in and out sheets were reviewed to ensure that the person who signs the child in and out uses their full legal signature and records the time of the day. LPA’s reviewed the children’s roster, children’s files and observed the files to be incomplete.1 out of 6 children were missing LIC 701, Physicians Report which poses a potential danger to the children in care. LPA’s also reviewed staff files and files were observed to be incomplete, 6 out of 7 staff files observed to be missing their immunizations, 3 out of 7 staff files were missing TB, 4 out of 7 staff files were observed to be missing LIC 503 Health Screening Report, 2 out of 7 staff files were missing LIC 9052 Employee Rights, which poses a potential health and safety risk to the children in care.
