32 | According to Parent 1 (P1), Parent 3 (P3) Parent 4 (P4) Parent 5 (P5) and Parent 6 (P6), they have no concerns regarding the care that their child is receiving in care or the discipline policies. Parents further stated that they are happy and their children are happy.
According to Parent 2 (P2), Child 3 (C3) stated that Staff 1 (S1) tapped their behind while running in the playground. P2 informed the school of the concern and has not had any further issues.
Child 1 (C1) stated that S1 pulled their ear when they got into a scuffle with another child.
Child 2 (C2) stated that their teachers are nice and likes their teachers. C2 further stated that they do not get in trouble while in care and they like their school.
-Pertaining to the allegation that “ Staff humiliated a day-care child in front of other children in care.”:
According to the RP, S1 expressed in front of children present, inappropriate comments about C1.
According to Parent 1 (P1), Parent 3 (P3) Parent 4 (P4) Parent 5 (P5) and Parent 6 (P6), they have no privacy concerns regarding comments made about their children and have never overheard any negative comments about other children.
Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
