25 | On February 12, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival LPA Ayala was greeted by assistant, Cynthia Anka who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 4 children in care. Per assistant, there are 8 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:30PM.
This is a three-story house with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathroom, attached garage that remains locked at all times, living room, dining room, kitchen, day care room located on the first floor and completely fenced rear yard. The day care takes place in the day care room located on the first floor, bathroom located in the day care room and the rear yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. LPA observed napping equipment (cots) for children. Per assistant, the facility provides lunch and 2 snacks to children in care.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide and working telephone. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Assistant has a current First Aid and CPR that expires on, 01/29/26.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
The licensee has completed the online mandated reporter training at www.mandatedreporterca.com. All childcare employees must complete mandated reporter training within 30 days of hire and renew training every two years.
