Per Principal, there is now adequate coverage with an addition of a floater Teacher and a permanent Teacher that can be utilized. During inspection LPA observed all children to be supervised by qualified teachers. Facility has more than enough staff for the current enrollment. Today pod #1 had one Teacher, two Assistants and four children. Pod #3 had one teacher, one assistant and five children. Pod #4 had one teacher, two assistants and four children. Pod #6 had one Teacher, two assistants and six children. Pod #7 had one teacher, two assistants and six children and Pod #8 had one Teacher, three assistants and seven children.
Based on the available information, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation(s) are found to be Substantiated. California Code of Regulations, 101216.2 (e) Teacher Aide Qualifications and Duties, is being cited on the attached LIC. 9099D. This posed a potential Health and Safety risk to children in care. Deficiencies that are being cited need to be cleared to protect the children’s health & safety.
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview was conducted with Charletha Robinson, Principal, during which appeal rights were explained.
