13 | At 12:30PM LPA met with Principal Charletha Robinson, explained the purpose of visit and was guided on a tour. LPA observed 127 supervised by 30 staff. During the course of investigation LPA collected documents and interviewed staff. The reporting party alleged facility was accepting children with obvious signs of illness and the Facility did not properly disinfecting after epidemic outbreak of Hand Food Mouth. During interviews all staff stated increased monitoring of hands, feet and mouth was conducted during morning health checks, children who developed signs of HFM while at center were immediately isolated and their parent was called for pick up. All staff stated that weekly disinfecting of hard surfaces and toys was increased to daily during HFM Epidemic. Per building maintenance, Electrostatic was sprayed at night on each classroom and on carpet which kills all bacteria and germs on surfaces and in the air. Based on Staff interviews and record review there was no corroborating evidence to prove facility was accepting children with obvious signs of illness or the Facility did not properly disinfect after epidemic outbreak of Hand Food Mouth, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. Exit interview and report reviewed with Principal Charletha Robinson, appeal rights provided.
A Notice of Site Visit was given and shall remain posted for 30 days.
