| Licensing Program Analyst (LPA’s)Joanne Solorio Campos and Staicy Perry conducted a case management inspection due to an unusual incident that was reported to the Department on 2/14/25. LPA met with Maria Ramirez, Child Development Specialist. Census was taken and LPA’s observed 12 children in care with 4 staff supervising the children.
On 2/14/25 in the morning the facility became aware of a power outage and parents were notified upon arrival to the facility and parents that had not yet arrived were notified by a phone call. No children were present during this time. Facility contacted an electrician and let parents know when the facility would reopen and resume normal operation. Facility reopened on Monday February 18, 2025. During the inspection, LPA’s observed the facility to be open and operating. The facility reported the incident to the department within the required time frame. LPA’s obtained facility work order Per Maria Ramirez, Child Development Specialist it was stated that the issues was not related to their building but an outside source.
Based on the information obtained on this date, no follow-up is necessary regarding the incident. The incident appears to be an unusual accident. It appears to be nothing the facility staff could have done to prevent the incident from occurring.
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
Appeal rights were discussed and provided.
