LPA Perry observed meals and snacks being served to all children in care. No child was observed to be denied food. LPA Perry reviewed menus and confirmed the facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks via the USDA Food Program. The Parent Handbook was reviewed and includes a nutrition policy with a USDA non-discrimination statement, ensuring compliance with federal civil rights law.
Allegation #2: Children are left unsupervised during nap time.
Reporting Party alleges that on 1/30/2025, they discovered a preschool age child asleep on a couch next to a staircase. RP states that when they informed child's teacher that child was transferred to a cot, the teacher stated they thought that child was outside playing.

LPA Perry observed during inspections facility nap time routines. Teachers were present, supervising small groups of children, and were observed walking around monitoring children while they slept. No staff were observed leaving children unsupervised. Staff stated that training on supervision is provided to them.
Based on LPA investigation, observations, interviews, and documentation reviewed, the allegations listed above are deemed to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. There is no preponderance of evidence to support these allegations, allegation #1 staff member withheld food as a form of discipline and allegation #2 children are left unsupervised during nap time. An unsubstantiated finding means that although the allegations may have occurred or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove a violation occurred.
No deficiencies are being cited at this time. An exit interview was conducted with Site Supervisor Darlene. Appeal Rights were discussed, and a copy was provided. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was issued and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
