25 | At 9:40 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Franchesca White conducted an unannounced annual required inspection at the facility listed above. LPA met with Licensee Rosa Sanchez who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Licensee has an assistant (Jasmine Villanueva) who helps with translation as the Licensee is a Spanish speaker. Two children were in care at the time of inspection. A current children’s roster was available for review.
This is a one-story home which consists of two bedrooms, one and one half bathrooms, kitchen, living room, front yard and backyard (fenced). Children’s areas include the living room and front yard. The children use the bathroom located across from the kitchen. The restroom that children use was observed safe and sanitary. Per the Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: kitchen, bedrooms and backyard.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is a working telephone used at the facility during operating hours. There is ventilation and heating (central). Wall heater was observed to be inaccessible to children in care.
The kitchen was observed safe and sanitary. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed inaccessible to children. The Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock.
LPA observed both bedrooms inaccessible. At 10:00a.m. In the living room LPA observed couches lining the walls with plenty of blankets. Dramatic play areas inclusive of play house, two kitchen sets and occupational dolls, and a book case full of books. All of the toys available are age apporpriate, and free of sharp edges and unbroken.
The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicated fully charged and serviced 9/2022 as indicated on service tag. |
