25 | On Tuesday December 30, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joanne Solorio Campos conducted an unannounced annual inspection and met with licensee, Maria Castaneda whom the purpose of the visit was explained, and guided LPA Solorio Campos on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 3 children present. Also, present was Licensee’s husband/assistant. LPA observed facility to be within ratio. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 6:00a.m-5:30pm and care for children ages 0 to 13 years old.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms( 2 located in the daycare room), kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, daycare room located in the rear of the facility, attached garage, fenced front and backyard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children include: One bedroom, one bathroom, laundry room, garage, front yard and two sheds located in the back yard are inaccessible to children. Family members residing in the home were discussed (criminal record clearances on file). The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit.
LPA Solorio Campos observed the following required postings in the entry way of the facility; License, LIC 9148 Earthquake Preparedness Checklist, LIC 610A Emergency Disaster Plan, Pub 394 Notification of Parents Rights, and LIC 999 Facility sketch.
LPA inspected the facility for safety, comfort, cleanliness, ventilation and working phone (cell phone and landline). For ventilation, LPA observed a wall AC combined with heating. LPA observed the furniture, manipulatives, books, soft plush toys, puzzles, art materials and other age-appropriate materials that were well maintained and free of loose, sharp, and pointed parts. There is a storage closet in the day care room with children’s materials but is made inaccessible to the children and LPA observed a child proof door handle in place. Cots, play pens and cribs were observed for napping. |
