25 | On 5/16/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Sandra Batres. LPA observed 6 children in care today with 2 staff. Licensee lives in the home with 2 adults that occupy the garage and extended back room. All adults living in the home and have access to the property have a criminal record clearance. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:00am to 5:00pm. The facility carries liability insurance.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with living room, dining area, kitchen, family room, enclosed patio, extra room adjacent to the back yard. The extra room has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The garage has been converted into a living dwelling with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, bedroom #3 (napping room), bathroom #2, family room, enclosed patio and back yard area. LPA observed age appropriate toys in the home and yard.
The areas that are off limits to children: Bedroom #1, #2, bathroom #1, kitchen, garage and extra room adjacent to the back yard.
No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the kitchen, The facility has a working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys and play equipment are observed.
