This is a single-story home which consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and playroom. There is a fireplace in the home that is barricaded by a gate and LPA observed to be locked.

Areas off limits to children and parents include: Two bedrooms by living room (observed to be locked), Bathroom 2 located inside bedroom, covered and gated patio in back yard, garage/laundry room, storage shed, dog run and front yard. LPA observed that there is a gate separating living room from dining room & kitchen. Per Licensee, Bedroom 1 is only accessible as a walkway from kitchen to playroom LPA discussed making sure children are supervised as they walk through Bedroom 1 to access Playroom. • Type A deficiencies are violations of licensing requirements that, if not corrected, have a direct and immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of persons in care.

• Type B deficiencies are violations of licensing requirements that, without correction, could become a risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of persons in care, a recordkeeping violation that could impact the care of said persons and/or protection of their resources, or a violation that could impact those services required to meet the needs of persons in care.

The home is observed to be clean and orderly. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. Fire extinguishers (in living room and kitchen) indicated fully charged and were serviced on 2/11/26. The home maintains telephone service via cell phone/LAN line. LPA observed that cleaning compounds are inaccessible to children in care in locked cabinets in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. The bathroom that children use observed to be clean and free of hazards.

Licensee states that poisons are stored in the locked garage not accessible to children. Per Licensee there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home. The facility does not have a pool or similar bodies of water. Per licensee, there is 1 large bread dog that is kept in inaccessible room during daycare hours.

There are toys and other age-appropriate material available inside the home and in the outdoor play are.

Three (3) Children’s records were reviewed for (LIC) 282- Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance, Immunization's Records, LIC 700- Identification and Emergency Information, LIC 627- Consent for Medical Treatment, LIC 995A Notification of Parents’ Rights.

Staff records were reviewed for approved Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, LIC-501: Personnel Record, LIC 508-Criminal Record Statement, LIC 9052- Employee Rights, Proof of immunizations against measles, pertussis and influenza or influenza declination, TB clearance or risk assessment, LIC 9108- Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse and current Mandated Reporter Training Certificate.

Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. ----Page 2, report continues

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

During the exit interview, the licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

Based on the LPA's observations and records review 1 B deficiency is cited during this inspection.
