32 | The home is observed to be clean and orderly. There are toys and other age-appropriate material available. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. Fire extinguisher indicated fully charged and was serviced on 5/5/25. The home maintains telephone service via cell phone and /LAN line.
LPA observed that cleaning compounds are inaccessible to children in care. The bathroom that children use was inspected and observed to be clean and free of hazards.
Licensee states that there are no poisons stored in the home and understands that all poisons must be locked, not only inaccessible to children. Per Licensee there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home.
Per Licensee, area for sick children waiting to be picked up is in the living room, supervised and away from the other children.
Outdoor play area is located in the back yard and observed to be fenced. LPA observed a large back yard that has been sectioned off to include the children's play area, a dog run, a garden area and side yard (used for trash can storage). LPA observed that the children's space has toys and other age appropriate materials. There is a Swing set anchored to the ground. There is a storage shed locked and inaccessible to children in care. Per licensee the children are always supervised when they walk through the kitchen to the backyard and during outside playtime. The facility does not have a pool or similar bodies of water. LPA observed 2 small breed dog in the dog run next to the children's play area. Per licensee the pets are kept inaccessible to children during daycare hours.
Three (3) children’s records were reviewed and found to have the required documents. Including (LIC) 282- Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance, Immunization's Records, LIC 700- Identification and Emergency Information, LIC 627- Consent for Medical Treatment, LIC 995A Notification of Parents’ Rights.
Licensee and Staff 1 records were reviewed and found to have the required documents, including EMSA approved Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, LIC-501: Personnel Record, LIC 9052- Employee Rights, Proof of immunizations against measles, pertussis and influenza or influenza declination, TB clearance or risk assessment, LIC 9108- Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse and current Mandated Reporter Training Certificate.
Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.----- Page 2, report continues
