25 | On February 11, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Monique Ayala and Mariah Aguirre conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival LPAs were greeted by licensee, Maria Carranza who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. LPAs observed 4 children in care, including 1 infant. Per licensee there are 16 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 6:00PM.
This is a single-story house with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen, middle yard, detached playroom located in the rear yard. There is a separate home above playroom with a separate address, which is made inaccessible to children in care. Area's accessible to children in care are the kitchen area during meals and snack time, a classroom in the middle yard, and the playroom in the rear yard, as well as the middle yard and rear yard for playtime. All other areas are made inaccessible to children in care. LPAs observed napping equipment for children in care in a storage closet in rear play yard. Per licensee the children provide sheets, and licensee keeps them stored in bags in the closet, and washes them in the facility every Friday. There is one small dog in the home, but he remains in the living room which is off limits to children in care, during day care hours.
The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and one snack. Per licensee, she is apart of the options food program. LPAs observed a functioning dual Smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide and working telephone. LPAs observed fire extinguisher to be fully charged and last serviced on 08/09/2024.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms or poisons on the premises. Licensees First Aid and CPR expires on 06/08/2026.
