25 | On 03/36/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Staicy Perry unannounced Annual inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Licensee Marie Salas whom the reason for the visit was explained. Per Marie, there are 6 children currently enrolled. There were 6 children present upon arrival. Facility capacity is in compliance for a Large Family Child Care Home. Per Licensee hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. Due to the total of enrolled children facility is operating as a small FCCH.
This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, breakfast nook, dining room, living room, (FIREPLACE: inaccessible with screen), garage front and backyard (fenced). The children use the bathroom, living room, dining room, one bedroom, breakfast nook front and backyard for play. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: licensee's bedroom, backyard and detached garage. The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit.
Facility License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist were observed to be posted on the wall next to the entrance. A current children’s roster was available for review. There is telephone via cell phone and landline that remains at the facility at all times. Parents enter through the gated front entrance and to get to the main entrance door, where licensee greets, the children and parents.
During this visit, all areas identified that are accessible for children to use were inspected for the safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Licensee guided LPA on the tour of the home. Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for safety and comfort. There are toys and other age-appropriate material available for children.
