Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced required inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Hye Kyung Yoon, Director who guided analyst on tour of facility. This is a school age program which consists of 1 classroom in the second floor;

All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. The following was observed during this visit: There were no school age present at this time. The Director stated that there are no school age children in enrolled at the moment. The Director wishes to maintain this school age license in case there is a need for services for school age children. The following was observed during tour of facility:

SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAM (in addition to above general compliance)

The facility is in compliance with the school-age sign/out procedures (101529.1) and is in compliance with staff-child ratios (101516.5). A teacher shall supervise no more than 14 children or with an aide a maximum of 28 children.

PHYSICAL PLANT- Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were inaccessible to children. Licensee states that poisons are locked in a separate and locked room. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets, and hand washing sinks are safe, sanitary and are operating properly. All floors are clean and safe.

Outdoor activity play area is comprised of black top and turf cushioning material, which surrounds the climbing equipment. During outdoor activities, a water container and cups are provided for children to drink. There were no Teacher child ratios to observe at this time. There are no sign in and out sheets available at this time (no children enrolled)

Medication policy is as follows. Facility does not administer over the counter or prescription medication. Any medication that needs to be administered during school hours is done by the parent. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. LPA advised the licensee to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on the Child Care Licensing website at: www.ccld.ca.gov. REMINDER: Failure to obtain criminal record background check clearances and associations prior to initial presence in the facility will result in an immediate $100.00 dollar or more per day Civil Penalty.

There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.

he Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing reprehensive. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Director Hye Kyung Yoon.
