25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Judy Mora conducted an unannounced case management inspection in Spanish. LPA met with licensee, Rosa Vizcaino, who guided analyst on a tour of the home at approximately 08:40 AM. The reason for today's visit is to conduct an inspection for an increase in capacity. The Fire Department has granted a clearance for a maximum capacity of 14 children, fire clearance was granted on 04/17/23. The Licensee's grandchild was the only child present during this inspection.
Family members living in the facility are 4 adults (criminal record clearances on file). This is a one story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room (FIREPLACE: inaccessible), garage, and front yard (fenced). The children use the bathroom in the hallway, living room, dining room, kitchen area, one bedroom and front yard for play. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and garage. The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit.
The Licensee's smoke and carbon monoxide detector located in the living room were tested and are in operable condition. The required 2A 10 BC fire extinguisher was serviced 04/13/23. The Licensee has completed the AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training, dated 04/27/23. The Licensee completed the Preventative Health and Safety Training, Nutrition and Lead Poisoning training, certificate dated 04/15/23. The Licensee has current Pediatric First Aid and CPR, expires 06/04/24. Copies of the Licensee's immunization's were obtained. Large FCC capacity visual provided to the Licensee.
At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today. The Licensee will be approved for a large family child care license upon return to the Monterey Park Regional Office.
Upon receipt the Licensee shall post the Notice of Site Visit for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100.00 civil penalty. Exit interview was conducted with Licensee.
