25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 04/08/26 at 09:25 a.m. At approx. 09:30 a.m., LPA met with Lilia Saenz licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 04 children present in the home. Also present was the licensee’s mother and aunt. According to the licensee, 05 children are enrolled; however, 1 child was absent. Operation hours are Monday – Friday 07:00 a.m. – 06:00 p.m.
This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, 1 room (activity room inside the kitchen), and front yard. According to the licensee, children use the living room, kitchen/dining room (cross to and from room and bathroom), 1 bathroom, 1 room (activity), and front yard. Family members residing in the home are 4 adults and 0 minors. According to the licensee, there is a bunny on the premises.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the living room where LPA observed furniture, age-appropriate toys and materials for children. Tour continued to the room inside the kitchen which is used as an activity room. Children must walk from the living room through the kitchen/dining room to access room and bathroom. LPA toured the room and observed age-appropriate toys and materials for children. Licensee then guided analyst to the children’s bathroom which is located in the hallway adjacent to the kitchen/dining room. LPA observed that the children’s bathroom is safe and in sanitary conditions. According to the licensee, the kitchen, dining room, and 2 bedrooms are off-limits to children. All bedrooms were closed/inaccessible to children. The first aid kit was observed to be available.
At 09:40 a.m., smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed to be operable. The valve on the required 3A40BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced 01/12/26, per the attached service tag. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually.
