25 | On May 8, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA was greeted by licensee, Virginia Aguilar who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 1 toddler age child in care. The licensee is operating within proper capacity and ratios. LPA observed licensee to be present at the home and providing adequate care and supervision. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
This is a single story house with 3 bedrooms and 3 restrooms, detached garage that remains locked at all times, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, dinning room, kitchen, den, indoor patio, front yard and completely fenced rear yard.
The day care takes place in living room, dinning room, restroom located near the kitchen, kitchen, den, indoor patio and rear yard.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone.
There are several age appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. The licensee has an expired CPR and first aid that expired 04/23/2024.
The licensee has not completed the online mandated reporter training at www.mandatedreporterca.com.
