32 | The off-limits areas the three bedrooms, two restrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, attached garage (maintained locked), and the laundry room. LPA observed a screen door barricading the main home from the family day care area.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The knives, medication, cleaning supplies and chemicals are kept inaccessible to children.
There are educational age-appropriate toys and equipment on the premises.
The First Aid kit with a temperature thermometer was observed and complete. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) is reading in green (serviced on 04/24/2024). Smoke and carbon monoxide detector found to be in operating condition according to the Fire Marshal standards. Fire and disaster drills are conducted every six-month. Last drill was recorded on 9/12/2024 at 10:00 a.m. Children play in the back yard and LPA observed area to be free of hazards.
Licensee had all the required posted documents: Facility License (LIC 203, Notice of Parent's Rights Poster (PUB 394), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610A), and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148).
The licensee maintains proof of immunization against pertussis (TDAP), measles (MMR), Tuberculous (TB) and influenza. Assistant present does not have complete immunization records, Licensee was not able to provide proof of Assistant’s Immunization record demonstration MMR, TB and Tdap. A type B citation will be issued today.
