25 | On 04/26/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA Clayton was greeted by applicant Winnie Namayiga. There were no children in care. The home was toured with the applicant for a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation are Sunday through Sunday, 6:00am to 6:00pm. Applicant will provide breakfast, lunch and snacks.
This is a single-family home which consists of the following: 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining room/kitchen, family room, fenced backyard with a shed and storage room. The home is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
Per the applicant the OFF-LIMIT AREAS are as follows: kitchen, bedroom 1 and bedroom 4, bathroom #2, and the locked shed and storage room, all of which are made inaccessible by child safety gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
Per Applicant, the ON-LIMIT areas are as follows: living room/dining room, bedroom #2 (napping room), bathroom #1, family room (main daycare room), bedroom #3 and the fenced backyard. The ISOLATION AREA will be in the day care room.
Per applicant, there are no firearms in the home. A copy of the lease agreement was reviewed and shows control of property.
Any poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medication and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. There are no pool, ponds, jacuzzi or other bodies of water on the property.
The home has a fully charged 2A:10: BC Fire Extinguisher, 3 working smoke detectors, and a carbon monoxide detector, and working telephone. LPA confirmed the phone number is 818-476-9782. Applicant’s CPR/First Aid certificate is current and expires August 2024. The applicant’s Mandated Reporter Training requirement expires February 2025. The applicant is in compliance with the immunization law which pertains to day care providers. |
