25 | On 6/4/24, at 8:10AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joe Katrdzhyan conducted an announced follow up Pre-Licensing Inspection. The purpose of this visit is to ensure the corrections requested during the Pre-Licensing Inspections conducted on 4/16/24 and 5/3/24 had been completed by the Applicant. This is a change of location for a Large Family Child Care Home, for a Capacity of 14 children - ages 18 months to 10 years of age. The family child care home will operate Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM. Upon arrival, LPA met with Applicant / Nataliy Meiler, who guided LPA on a tour of the inside and outside of the home. LPAs observed no children in care.
- During today's visit, LPA observed the black metal fence surrounding the pool had been raised to meet Title 22 Regulation Section 102417 / Operation of a Family Child Care Home. Applicant has installed a black metal fence in between the pool house and the black metal fence surrounding the pool (located in front of the pool equipment), preventing access to the pool from the sliding doors of the living room (main home) and the windows located in bedroom 1 (main home). Applicant has also installed a black metal fence with double doors in front of the pool house, which has been permanently welded shut, preventing access to the pool from the sliding doors of the pool house. LPA tested the only gate/door which has access to the pool and the gate was observed to swing away from the pool, self-close and self latch. (Pictures taken of the corrections)
- LPA toured the detached garage/indoor play area and observed the Applicant has cleaned the clutter and removed the layer of storage compartment, ensuring the safety of children. Applicant has also removed the portable heaters from the garage.
- LPA observed the storage unit / shed located in the back yard has been locked (with zip tie), making it inaccessible to children.
An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Applicant / Nataliy Meiler.
A copy of this report was provided to the Applicant. Final license determination will be made upon review by the Licensing Program Manager. There were no corrections requested during this visit. |
