25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tatiana Bickham conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection for a small family childcare at the above facility on 05/08/2024 at 8:10 AM. LPA met with Applicants Davit Davtyan and Hripsime Melikyan, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. There were no children present when LPA arrived. Per Applicant, hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 10:00pm. Applicant states they will provide care for children 3 months to 13 years of age.
This is a single home consisting of 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, family room (day-care room #1) detached room (day-care room #2), laundry room, front yard (driveway), and backyard. The home was inspected for safety, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children.
Areas used by children include: Family room (day-care room #1) accessible through the dining room, bathroom located in the hallway across from bedrooms, detached room (day care #2) adjacent from day-care room #1 and backyard, half of the backyard will be used and there will be a gate separating the off limits portion of the backyard. Areas off limits include: All 3 bedrooms, ½ bathroom located in master bedroom, dining area, living room, portion of the backyard, laundry room and kitchen. The laundry room is located in day-care room #2 and is made inaccessible by locked door. Off limit areas are made inaccessible by door lock or gate. Knives and other sharp utensils are in the kitchen cabinets and drawers, kitchen is made inaccessible by gate. Cleaning products are made inaccessible by being stored in the off limits areas of the kitchen and the laundry room. Parents will use the side gate (locked) located to the right of the home that leads to the backyard and day-care room #1 and #2 to drop off and pick up children.
The home is clean and orderly, there are outlet covers throughout the home. Smoke/carbon monoxide detector was observed, tested and found to be operable. |
