32 | The areas that will be accessible to the children in care are: living room (children's playroom), dining room, bathroom # 1, kitchen, laundry room and play area (backyard).The kitchen, and laundry room will be used as an exit to the play area(backyard). In the kitchen, cleaning supplies are stored in the cabinet underneath the kitchen sink. The cabinet has a child proof safety latches, rendering it inaccessible to the children in care. The knifes are in a knife block, stored on top of the kitchen shelf.
LPA observed the following: the home is clean and orderly. There were age appropriate toys and play items.
There is a First Aid Kit, inside the closet by the living room. In the living room there is a fireplace, it is rendered inaccessible to the children in care. The required fire extinguisher(size 2A:10-B:C) that was purchased on September 2024 and is at the entrance of the dining room. For napping equipment there was 3 playpens, and 12 cots. Per Applicant parents will provide fitted sheets, and will be given to parents every Friday to wash. Applicant was informed that baby-walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and other prohibited items will not be used for children in care. All electrical outlets have safety covers. Per Applicant, the home will provide food for children in care (breakfast, lunch, and PM snacks).
There are 6 combination smoke/carbon monoxide detector in each room all detectors were tested and found to be operable.
Per applicant, there are no weapons or firearms of any kind in the facility. LPA discussed that when a child shows signs of illness, they shall be separated from other children until they are picked up. The isolation area will be in dining room, separate from other children in care. Children will utilize the play area (backyard) to play. LPA observed that the outdoor play area is fenced. Per applicant, when children are having outside time, they will ensure 100% supervision and never leave children unattended. There are no bodies of water on the premise.
