25 | On 8/11/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection (Licensee Initiated) of the aforementioned Child Care Center (CCC) to obtain measurement of a newly gated infant outdoor play yard and a room previous exclude from care which is being converted to a infant care area. LPA met with Kamdyn Luke, Assistant Director of the CCC and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. LPA toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. LPA notes nine children are present at the time of the inspection, along with three staff members providing care and supervision.
LPA measured the newly gated outdoor play yard/area as well as the previous excluded room which is being converted to a infant care area.
Measurement determine the following:
- Newly gated outdoor play yard/area affords space for an additional six children, creating a total capacity for 10 children in the outdoor infant area.
- Previous excluded room which is being converted to a infant care area affords space for a total of 7 children, pending fire department clearance.
As noted, the CCC is granted the permission to use the newly gated outdoor infant play area. The capacity of the outdoor play area in conjunction with the prior infant play yard will be 10 children.Use of the converted indoor infant care area will have a capacity of 7 pending fire department clearance.
A closing interview was conducted with Assistant Director. A copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the to Assistant Director.
The Notice of Site Visit was also provided to Assistant Director as required by H&S Code Section 1596.817. The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days or a civil penalty of $100.00 may apply. |
