32 | Prior to working or volunteering in a licensed childcare facility, all individuals subject to a criminal record review have received a criminal record clearance or exemption. Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid is present when children are at the facility or at off site activities. Director’s CPR and Pediatric First Aid was taken on 11/23/2022 . Mandated Reporter Training has been completed by all staff members; Director’s Mandated Reporter Training was taken on 09/10/2021.
The name of the childcare center director or fully qualified teacher(s) designated to act in the director’s absence has been reported to the Department. The person who signs the child in/out of the facility shall use their full legal signature and record the time of day. During inspection LPA observed one infant had not been signed in by child's representative. This is a potential Health and Safety Risk to children in care.
All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher always. There is a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than four infants in care. LPA reviewed a total of 6 infant files during inspection. contact information for authorized representative and or relatives or others who can assume responsibility for the child, medical assessment, individual feeding plan, and Infant Needs and Services Plan.
LPA reviewed all files for staff present during inspection and observed files were complete with qualification requirements, immunization records for influenza, pertussis and measles and current documentation of completed mandated reporter training, CPR, LIC508, LIC9108 and LIC9052. LPA did not observe a completed LIC503 Health Screening Report for staff present during inspection. This is a potential Health and Safety Risk to children in care.
Menus are posted at least one week in advance where an authorized representative can view them. Facility posted menu's a month in advance.
The facility has sufficient age-appropriate furniture, and equipment including cribs, cot, changing table and feeding chairs. There is indoor and outdoor activity space for infants that is physically separate. LPA observed the outdoor space to be gated. |
