On 02/18/2026, LPA Clayton conducted an unannounced visit to the New World Montessori School to deliver the findings on a complaint. LPA Clayton was greeted by Assistant Director Romy Wu. LPA Clayton toured the infant center for a Health and Safety inspection and observed 28 infants and toddlers being cared for and supervised by 7 fingerprint cleared staff.

On 12/18/2025, the El Segundo Child Care Regional Office (ESCCRO) received a complaint alleging:
PERSONAL RIGHTS: Staff handled child in a rough manner

On 12/19/2025, LPA Clayton toured the CCC inside and outside for a Health and Safety Inspection and observed 24 infants and toddlers, being cared for by 6 fingerprint cleared staff. LPA Clayton and LPA Plancarte conducted staff interviews.

LPA Clayton conducted a thorough investigation which included facility inspections, observations, and interviews. LPA Clayton interviewed parents of children currently enrolled who reported that they have not had any issues or concerns with the care their children are receiving. During each visit, LPA Clayton observed staff supervising and caring for children appropriately.

Based on LPA’s observations and interviews with parents and staff, the allegations of Personal Rights are UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Yasmeen Chunara. LPA Clayton posted a Notice of Site visit which is to remain posted for 30 days.
