25 | On 1/11/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Required-3 year Inspection and was met by Assistant Emelita Gabourel. Assistant stated Licensee had an appointment this morning and will return in a few hours. LPA observed 5 children in care today with 1 Assistant. All adults have a criminal record clearance. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 6:00pm. The facility has liability insurance. 2nd assistant arrived at 9:45am.
LPA toured inside and outside the facility. This is a multi unit building. The home consist of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, laundry room, family room and den.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, family room, den (sleeping room) bathroom located near the laundry room and outside area to left rear of the backdoor. The backyard is section off for the day care children.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications were observed during inspection in the family room. Assistant moved medications to an inaccessible area (809-D).
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the laundry room serviced on 4/8/2024. The facility has a working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are stairs in the home that is made inaccessible. Safe toys, materials and play equipment observed. LPA observed First Aid kit located in day care room. Children nap on cots and infants nap in cribs. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (310) 908-4842.
